WILMINGTON, N.C. – The No. 23 UNCW men's soccer team resumes its non-conference schedule on Tuesday against St. John's in a White Out game at 7 p.m. at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
Freshman Cameron Keay connected on a pass from Kieran Radke 31 seconds into the match to give No. 23 UNCW the early 1-0 lead on Saturday at Campbell.
 
The Seahawks remained undefeated in league play and were the first conference program to three CAA wins when Jake Roberts headed in the game-winner midway through the second half against his former club to give UNCW the 2-1 victory

The UNCW men's soccer program earned national recognition last week, ranking in both the Top Drawer Soccer (No. 25) and United Soccer Coaches (No. 23) Top 25 polls.

KEAY REPEATS AS CAA ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Keay's early goal against the Camels led to his second straight Rookie of the Week nod by the conference on Monday afternoon.
 
Keay played a total of 146 minutes last week across two starts, including at NC State last Tuesday. The 6-1 forward totaled three shots with one score.
 
The Paisley, Scotland, native has played all seven matches this season with four starts.

FIVE SEAHAWKS EARN CAA PRESEASON ACCOLADES AWARDS
Three Seahawks were named to the Preseason All-Coastal Athletic Association Team while the Seahawks were projected to finish second in the CAA South Division, as announced by the league on Aug. 17.
 
Midfielder Osei Gyamfi, along with Campbell transfer defender Jake Roberts and goalkeeper Trey Smiley were selected among the league's top players following a vote of the league's 10 head coaches. Forward Bryan Miralrio and defender Gavin Carmichael were tabbed as CAA Preseason Honorable Mentions.
 
UNCW earned one first-place vote in the coaches poll behind defending champion Elon. Charleston, Campbell and William & Mary rounded out the polling in the South Division while Hofstra was predicted to win the North Division.

CIRCLE 'EM
The Seahawks, who extended their league record with their 29th CAA Tournament appearance in 2025, will traverse a 16-game regular season schedule that includes eight contests at the UNCW Soccer Stadium this fall.
 
UNCW will once again play a home-and-home series with the four other teams from the CAA South Division – CAA Champion Elon, Campbell, Charleston and William & Mary – after the league changed its scheduling protocol in men's soccer prior to the start of the 2025 campaign.
 
A pair of contests with the Phoenix, along with home games against Southern Conference Champion Furman and St. John's and Atlantic Coast Conference road matches at Clemson and NC State represent the Seahawks' opponents who appeared in last year's NCAA Tournament.

SEAHAWKS AT THE WORLD CUP
A pair of standout alums took the world's biggest stage this past summer when Hjalmar Ekdal and Austin MacPhee competed across North America in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
 
Ekdal, who spent the 2017 season with the Seahawks, is a reserve defender on the Swedish national team.
 
MacPhee, a UNCW midfielder from 1999-2002, helped Portugal to the Round of 16 in his first World Cup in his first year with the country after serving on the national team staffs of Northern Ireland, his native Scotland and Portugal. A renowned set-piece coach, MacPhee joined Premier League club Chelsea in July 2026 after four years with Aston Villa.
