Keay Continues Strong Campaign with Weekly Honor

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW forward Cameron Keay's phenomenal first-year campaign gained further recognition with Coastal Athletic Association Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week accolades, as announced by the league on Monday.

Keay helped the nationally ranked Seahawks to a 2-0 win with three goals and two assists, highlighted by his first career brace on Saturday vs. Campbell to keep UNCW as the CAA's lone undefeated team in conference play.

The Paisley, Scotland, native produced the eventual game-winning score in last Tuesday's non-conference finale victory against Winthrop and also provided an assist against the Eagles.

Keay capped off a 4-1 rout of the Camels with the final two Seahawk goals just two minutes apart and picked up an assist on freshman Kristjan Kristjansson's sixth-minute strike.

The two-time CAA Rookie of the Week has registered a point in six of his last eight matches.

First-place UNCW travels to play second-place Elon on Saturday at 7 p.m.
