WILMINGTON, N.C. -- The Seahawks host nationally-ranked East Carolina in the first of a five-game week for UNCW, which includes a road test at Campbell and a return to Colonial Athletic Association play with Northeastern visiting for the weekend. First pitch Tuesday's game is set for 6 p.m.
UNCW is coming off a non-conference series win at Kennesaw as the Seahawks pounded out 13 hits and scored 12 runs in a 12-4 series finale win. Kep Brown and Noah Bridges fueled the rout with three hits apiece as the Seahawks collected six extra base hits and broke the game open with seven runs in the middle three innings.
The Pirates also earned a series win in American Athletic Conference play, taking 2-of-3 at Houston over the weekend. ECU dropped the opener, but rallied to sweep a doubleheader on Saturday for the series win.
