Both Brown and Bridges finished with two doubles as the Seahawks collected six extra base hits on the afternoon. Brown drove in two runs and scored twice while Bridges knocked in three runs.

Landen Roup (2-2) evened his season record with the win for the Seahawks.

KSU's Terence Norman finished with three hits and drove in three runs,

Starter Brendan Bickleman (2-1) suffered the loss, lasting just 1.2 innings as UNCW built a 5-2 lead through two.

Up next: The Seahawks host nationally-ranked East Carolina on Tuesday. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.

How it happened: A four-run fourth inning gave UNCW a 9-2 lead. Brown opened the scoring with an infield single and Riley Zayicek plated the second run with a sac fly. Lucas Oxendine capped the inning with a two-run single up the middle.

Notes: The bottom three hitters of the UNCW lineup, Zayicek-Oxendine-Bridges, drove in six runs and had four hits … The UNCW bullpen allowed just three hits over the final four innings … Brown now has a 15-game hitting streak while Greg Jones and Cole Weiss are both at five straight.
