Corbin Collects Second Weekly Honor

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Coastal Athletic Association has tabbed UNCW junior Allison Corbin as the Softball Player of the Week for the second time this season following a perfect 4-0 showing last week.

Corbin, who was named Player of the Week on Mar. 17, powered the Seahawks to their third league sweep of the season and a home win over rival East Carolina with a .643/.667/1.071 slash line.

The Stevensville, Md., native erupted for two doubles and a home run in the series opener against the Pirates with a career-high-tying four RBI and four hits in what would become a seven-RBI weekend for the catcher/infielder.

Corbin collected at least one hit in all four contests and carries a season-long six-game hitting streak into the upcoming weekend series vs. Towson from Apr. 10-12.
