Relay Earns CAA Co-Player of the Week

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW junior Cassidy Relay has earned Coastal Athletic Association Softball Co-Player of the Week distinctions after hitting .818 in the Seahawks' sweep over Charleston last weekend.

Relay went 9-for-11 with three hits in all three games as UNCW earned its second league sweep of 2026. The 5-2 outfielder reached base safely in her first seven plate appearances of the weekend, including a walk.

A native of Colts Neck, N.J., Relay also scored six runs, swiped two bases and drove in a run against the Cougars.

Relay leads the league with a .490 average and is second with 21 steals this season.

The Seahawks host East Carolina on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
