The Seahawks (23-23) evened their record on the season winning 2-of-3 at Charleston over the weekend and look to maintain that momentum as it visits #19 NC State (33-12).
The Wolfpack dropped its series at Notre Dame last weekend and have dropped nine of its last 14 games. NCSU counted a 14-7 win at Brooks Field among those four wins. The Wolfpack plated five runs over the final two innings to break open a 9-7 contest.
Sophomore outfielder Noah Bridges was named CAA Player of the Week after helping the Seahawks to the series win at CofC. Bridges hit .455 for the week and tied his career-high of five runs batted in in UNCW's 14-4 win on Saturday. Over his lat 15 games, he's hitting .367 and knocked in 22 runs.
Junior Zarion Sharpe earned his first win and save of the season last week. The left hander picked up the save in UNCW's 3-1 win over Campbell and then earned the win in the middle game last weekend.
