Women's Track and Field Tom Riordan

Program Records Fall For Track & Field

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Program records by Bailey Willard and Jesse Helton in the Hammer Throw and Discus, respectively, and Cameron Wright in the 100 meters, highlighted UNCW's performance at the VertKlasse Meeting on Friday.

Willard won the Hammer Throw with a program-record toss of 169-4 feet, while Helton checked in with a mark of 174-0 feet for another Seahawk record.

Wright, meanwhile, finished third with a new record time of 10.29 seconds. Headed an event win in the 110 Hurdles, when he clocked in with a time of 13.94 seconds.

Ivan Poag added a win in the men's Triple Jump with a distance of 49-10 feet.

The Seahawks visit Durham, N.C., next for the Duke Invitational on April 8.
