Women's Track & Field Preview: at CAA Championships

Championship reduced to single day due to impending storm

BOSTON, Mass. – Due to an impending storm, the Coastal Athletic Association's Indoor Track & Field Championship has been adjusted to a one-day championship on Sunday.

Seventeen athletes will represent UNCW in the championship with several ranking among the conference leaders in several events.

Leading the way is freshman vaulter Abby Burleson, who ranks third in the event with a mark of 12-9.5 feet, achieved in her collegiate indoor debut at the Liberty Kick Off.

Emma Crozier-Carole, a junior, is fourth in the Pentathlon with a total of 3,321 points, also achieved in the season-opener the Liberty Kick Off.

Senior Brylee Montanari heads up the Seahawks in the 60 Hurdles with a time of 8.65 seconds.
