WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW men's soccer head coach Aidan Heaney has announced a 15-game schedule for the 2025 season that features seven home matches at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.
The Seahawks, fresh off an appearance in last season's Coastal Athletic Association Championship Game, will also play eight road contests and two preseason exhibition games against Old Dominion (Aug. 9), which doubles as a Soccerpalooza doubleheader with the UNCW women's program's vs. The Citadel, and at Winthrop (Aug. 16).
The regular season opens on Thurs., Aug. 21, vs. UMBC. The Seahawks and Retrievers will play for the fourth time and first since 2016. The contest will mark UMBC's first appearance in Wilmington since 1978.
An eight-game CAA slate includes home-and-home series with Elon, Campbell, Charleston and William & Mary. These four schools, along with UNCW, will make up the newly formed CAA South Division beginning this season.
The third-annual Olivia's Game occurs in partnership with the Olivia Knighton Foundation, against the Tribe on Sept. 13.
A trio of Atlantic Coast Conference opponents awaits the Seahawks, highlighted by a Sept. 30 home game against NC State. The Seahawks will also travel to Wake Forest (Sept. 16) and Clemson (Oct. 21).
Senior Night is slated for Sept. 27, vs. Mercer.
The CAA Championships begin with the First Round on Nov. 6 followed by the semifinals on Nov. 9. The league championship game will occur on Nov. 15.
