Men's Soccer Falls in CAA South First Round

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – The No. 3 seed UNCW men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at No. 2 seed Campbell in the Coastal Athletic Association South Division First Round on Thursday night at the Eakes Athletics Complex.

The Fighting Camels (10-5-4) advance to play in Sunday's CAA Semifinals at South No. 1 seed Elon for a spot in next weekend's CAA Finals. The Seahawks (5-9-2) made their league-record-extending 29th CAA Tournament appearance.

Campbell's Sam Roberson fashioned a brace within less than two minutes late in the second half to seal the verdict. Roberson's first goal came off a rebound shot in the 78th minute before securing his first career two-goal effort less than two minutes later.

The Camels' Luc Lavielle completed the scoring in the 82nd minute.

Campbell took a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute on an UNCW own goal.

UNCW held a narrow 13-12 shot advantage in the contest that featured a combined 42 fouls and one corner kick for UNCW. The Seahawks registered double-digit shot totals 13 times in 2025.
