JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jordyn Robbins, a two-time Coastal Athletic Association gold medalist, finished 38th in the women's javelin throw to conclude her junior season at the NCAA East First Round on Thursday at Visit Jax Track at Hodges Stadium.
Robbins competed in the first of four total flights and threw 42.85 meters (140-7) on her second attempt.Â
"Jordyn is doing all the right things that are going to lead her where she wants to go," head coach Jeff Klaves said. "My only regret is that we ran out of time. We had a great mindset, and she put together great reps. One of her biggest strengths has been her ability to respond. Next year, we'll have our sights set on this meet. We believe that more is possible, and we'll look to qualify for nationals in 2026."
Donovan Lara (men's high jump) and Ivan Poag (men's triple jump) will each compete on Friday at 1:30 p.m. They will look to punch their respective tickets to the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
