Trimp, Sistrunk Named Pair Of The Week

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's pairing of Lyvia Trimp and Gracie Sistrunk went 6-0 last weekend at the Bears Beach Bash and was named Pair of the Week by the Sun Belt Conference on Wednesday.

For Trimp and Sistrunk, Wednesday's honor is the second time this season they've been recognized by the conference.

On the season, Trimp and Sistrunk have compiled a 14-1 record all that the second pairing as UNCW has raced out to a 12-3 record. Last weekend at the Bash, the pairing dropped just one set and fashioned an average winning margin of 7.38 points per set.

The Seahawks extended their program-record winning streak to nine duals after winning all six duals at the Bash, hosted by Mercer.

UNCW returns to the courts this weekend at the Sun Belt Mid-Year Duals in Foley, Ala. The Seahawks open with Southern Miss on Friday at 10 a.m. EST.
