ELON, North Carolina – UNCW's
Jordyn Robbins (Women's Javelin) and
Bryson Robinson (Men's Long Jump) earned gold medals with new personal records as the UNCW outdoor track and field teams opened the 2024 Coastal Athletic Association Championships at the Robertson Complex hosted by Elon.
Robbins recorded a 158-5.75 throw in the javelin while Robinson clocked a 25-10.50 leap in the long jump as the Seahawks' gold medalists on Friday. UNCW's
Courtney Lines (Women's Long Jump) and
Miles Higgins (Men's Javelin) each earned silver medals.
Graduate hurdler
Josh Parks topped two event prelims in the Men's 110 Hurdles (13.76) and the Men's 400 Hurdles (51.85). Senior sprinter
Nickolis Anderson claimed the top prelim spot in the Men's 400 Dash prelim (46.43).
UNCW closes out the CAA Championships on Saturday at Elon.
