UNCW Takes Two Sun Belt Duals

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – UNCW swept a pair of Sun Belt Conference duals on Saturday with wins over Stephen F. Austin and Louisiana Monroe at the Hunt Beach Volleyball Complex.

The Seahawks closed out the weekend with a 3-1 mark against Sun Belt opponents and now own a 13-6 mark on the season.

Against ULM, the Seahawks won the first three matches and clinched the win following a 21-11, 21-14 win by Gabby LaPata and Sadie Sharkey at the number one pairing.

UNCW opened the day with a 4-1 win over Stephen F. Austin. Bri Haggerty and Gracie Sistrunk earned a straight-set win at the fourth position and Jadyn Barry and Charlotte Cronister made it a 2-0 lead with a win at the fifth position.

Ellie Bucci and Sarah Thompson sealed the win with a 21-15, 21-17 win at the third position.

The Seahawks return to action on Mar. 30 with duals against Erskine and host Coastal Carolina.
