UNCW Baseball Checks In At #49 In D1Baseball Rankings

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's baseball program returned to the top 50 of D1Baseball Top-100 on Tuesday when the Seahawks were ranked 49th.

The Seahawks enter the 2025 season as the Coastal Athletic Association's two-time defending tournament champions and posted a 40-21 record overall and 20-7 in the conference.

The program's 40 wins last season were the eighth all-time such season and the first since 2015 and 2016, when the Seahawks fashioned back-to-back 41-win campaigns.

UNCW won both the regular season and conference tournament titles in 2023 and finished second in the 2024 season before sweeping through the conference championship.

Five Seahawks in total have been drafted in the last two seasons. Including top-10 round selections Luke Craig (seventh round by Arizona) and RJ Sales (10th round by Detroit).

Junior first baseman Tanner Thach set the program's season and career home run marks with 27 and 42, respectively.
