Seahawk Club Announces Creation Of Champions Circle

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawk Club is pleased to announce the launching of the Champions Circle, a new and exciting way to support UNCW Athletics and Seahawk student-athletes.

"The Champions Circle will allow us to elevate the department in several ways," said UNCW Director of Athletics, Michael Oblinger. "It gives us a great opportunity to recognize those members who want to have a true philanthropic impact for us. This is a pivotal time for Seahawk Athletics and commitments to these priority areas will be a significant part of our pursuit of championships."

The new program recognizes Seahawk Club members who make a philanthropic financial commitment of at least $25,000 or more pledged over a five-year period to one or more of the three identified priority funds:

• Endowed Scholarships
Establishing a named scholarship for athletics or committing to growing an existing endowed scholarship.
• Facility Enhancements
Providing the department of athletics with the resources needed to enhance its structural landscape, improve existing facilities, and establish new facility projects.
• Champions Fund (Unrestricted Giving)
Gifts to this fund allow for unrestricted flexibility, providing resources to areas of greatest need at the direction of the Athletic Director.
