Beach Volleyball Preview: at Carolina Challenge

COLUMBIA, S.C. – UNCW's beach volleyball program heads to Columbia, S.C., this weekend for the Carolina Challenge hosted by South Carolina beginning on Friday at 9 a.m.

The Seahawks opened their season last weekend with a win over Catawba in straight-sets, 5-0.

UNCW opens the Carolina Challenge on Friday with Tulane, who is receiving votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll released on Monday. The Seahawks will faceoff with Sun Belt Conference rival Stephen F. Austin later in the day on Friday. UNCW edged SFA last season at the ASun Conference championship, 3-2, in the pool round of the tournament.

A pair of ranked programs in 12th-ranked Stetson and host 19th-ranked South Carolina will be on the other side of the net on Saturday.
