VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia – The UNCW women's indoor track and field team picked up seven event wins in the Richard Drake Invitational on Sunday at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
 
The Seahawks, competing in the third of four in-season meets, competed in nine running events and five field events on the day. The team posted seven new top-10 marks and 18 PRs (personal records) in the meet.
 
Senior Kendall Hobbs was a double winner, capturing the Mile Run (5:05.32) and 3,000 Meters (10:18.18).
 
The Virginia Beach Sports Center will host the CAA Championships on Feb. 22-23, 2023, with 12 women's teams vying for the title - Charleston, Delaware, Elon, Hampton, Hofstra, Monmouth, North Carolina A&T, UNCW, Northeastern, Stony Brook, Towson and William & Mary.
