Burroughs, Hankova Earn All-CAA Accolades

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – A pair of UNCW's leading goal scorers in Kayla Burroughs and Viktoria Hankova have garnered All-Coastal Athletic Association end-of-season accolades as voted on by the league's 14 head coaches.

Burroughs, a forward, earned her third straight All-CAA nod with a Third-Team appearance after an impressive junior campaign. Hankova, a midfielder, was named to the CAA All-Rookie team following an outstanding freshman season.

Burroughs and Hankova, along with forward Issy Bryant, topped the Seahawks with three goals.

A native of Asheboro, N.C., Burroughs tied for fifth in the league with a team-high six assists. The junior forward registered her fourth career multi-goal game in UNCW's 7-0 route of Hampton in mid-September.

Hankova joined the Seahawks from Piestany, Slovakia and started 10 games across 14 appearances. The rookie collected her first career goal in a shutout of Queens before adding another score and assist against the Pirates.

Burroughs is the ninth UNCW player to earn three All-CAA distinctions. The Seahawks have had at least one player on the All-Conference squad in the last six years.
