Women's Soccer Signs Three For 2026 Season

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW women's soccer head coach Chris Neal has signed Janelle Blokker, Riley Morrow and Kamrey Watkins for the 2026 campaign.

"We are excited to welcome these three talented players to the Hawks' Nest, Neal said. "Adding a field player in each line will provide balance and depth for 2026. Janelle, Kamrey and Riley check a lot of boxes in terms of how we want to keep playing and developing as a team."

Blokker, a defender from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, was the team captain for Central Bucks West High School. Blokker was an all-conference selection in the Suburban One League during her senior season this fall.

In the classroom, Blokker was named a National High School Coaches Association Academic All-America selection.

Blokker played her club soccer for Penn Fusion (2008) in the Elite Clubs National League and won the 2024 ECNL National Championship with her squad in Richmond, Virginia.

Morrow, a midfielder from Jacksonville, North Carolina, is a three-sport athlete at Jacksonville High School, playing golf, tennis, and soccer.

In three seasons, Morrow has scored 19 goals and has tallied 17 assists, and will finish her high school soccer career this spring.

As a sophomore, Morrow helped Jacksonville capture the 2024 NCHSAA 3A State Championship.

As a junior in 2025, Morrow scored eight goals with four assists and led Jacksonville to a 17-5-2 overall record and a perfect 12-0 record during conference play.

Morrow played her club soccer for the Wilmington Hammerheads in the ECNL.

Watkins, a forward from Richlands, North Carolina, has scored 92 goals and recorded 36 assists in three seasons for Richlands High School.

After recording 36 goals and 11 assists as a junior, Watkins was named to the 2025 NCHSAA 3A All-State Team, becoming a two-time all-state selection. Morrow also earned Coastal Conference Player of the Year honors for the second straight season.

She will complete her senior season this upcoming spring. Watkins also played her club soccer for the Wilmington Hammerheads.

An all-region performer in track and field, Watkins ran 2 minutes, 21.36 seconds in the 800-meter run to finish second at the 2025 NCHSAA 3A East Regional.

UNCW had a historical season this fall, capturing the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association South Division Championship. The Seahawks posted an 11-3-4 overall record, including an unbeaten 7-0-2 record during conference play.

UNCW's .722 win percentage was the best in the program's 32 seasons of soccer. It was also the first time in program history that UNCW finished a full slate of conference play undefeated.
