WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's soccer team continues its three-game road swing to open the season on Sunday at UNC Greensboro.

Kick-off from UNCG Soccer Stadium is slated for 7 p.m. The game can be streamed on ESPN+ with live stats available at UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks (0-0-1) played to a scoreless draw in Thursday's season opener at American. UNCW held the Eagles to three shots while senior goalkeeper Gabriel Perrotta picked up his 21st career shutout in his 45th career start.

The Spartans (1-0) opened their season with a 5-1 victory over UNC Asheville last Thursday. UNCG's Ismail el Harchi Khalfi netted two goals in his Spartans debut.

SERIES HISTORY | The Seahawks own a 9-6-2 advantage over the Spartans in the series that dates back to 1977. UNCW has won the last three meetings, including a 2-0 decision in Wilmington on Feb. 6, 2021. Seahawk Head Coach Aidan Heaney is 7-4-2 in his career against the Spartans with a 6-3-2 mark as the UNCW leader.

FAMILY CONNECTION | UNCW freshman Caleb Powell has strong ties to the UNCG program through his father, Darren Powell, who played for the Spartans from 1991-94. The elder Powell became the first player to score more than 100 career points for UNCG at the NCAA Division I level in his career and later served as an assistant coach for the Spartans from 2001-04.

ON THE DEFENSE | Thursday's season opener marked the second straight scoreless tie the Seahawks played dating back to last season's season finale at then-No.14 Hofstra.

WELCOME BACK | UNCW welcomed back senior captain Colton Pleasants after missing last season due to injury on Thursday at American. The 5-8 forward started and played 59 minutes in his first game action since the spring 2021 season.
