Lines Third In Heptathlon At High Point

HIGH POINT, North Carolina – Junior Courtney Lines stands third overall in the Heptathlon standings after the first day of competition for the UNCW track and field teams at the Bill Webb Combined Events/Bob Davidson Memorial at High Point's Vert Stadium.

Lines, from Leland, N.C., has totaled 2,905 points through four events in the Heptathlon and trails only Lipscomb's Anna Richardson (2,981) and Bella Jackson (2,957). The Long Jump, Javelin and 800 Meters will be contested on Saturday.

Junior Ryan Hunt, the reigning Decathlon champion in the Colonial Athletic Association, is in the thick of things in the Decathlon with five events remaining. The Durham, N.C., product is behind just High Point's Tucker Conine (3,393) and Evan Mills (3,394).
