Isley Takes CAA Golfing Honors Again

WILMINGTON, N.C. – One week removed from his first top-five finish, UNCW's Walker Isley was named Golfer of the Week by the Colonial Athletic Association following his tournament win at the Forest Creek Collegiate over the weekend.

Isley captured his first tournament win by carding a new career-low round of 68, four-under-par, to earn medalist honors. For Isley, it's his second CAA honor in as many weeks.

The Seahawks won the event, their first of the season, by 11 strokes over Davidson and VCU, who tied for second. Isley edged teammate Drew Hackett for medalist honors by a single stroke.

Isley's two-round score of 72-68=140 moved him into the scoring average lead on the Seahawks at 73 strokes per round.

Next up for the Seahawks is their own Seahawk Intercollegiate on Mar. 27-28, at the Country Club of Landfall.
