UNCW Tees Off Seahawk Intercollegiate on Monday

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW men's golf team tees off the Seahawk Intercollegiate early next week as the nationally-known tournament returns to the Country Club of Landfall's Nicklaus Course from Mar. 30-31.

The Seahawks are humming this season under first-year head coach Blake Taylor, who was elevated from interim to the permanent role in early February. UNCW has earned five top-five finishes in 2025-26, including a team and individual win (Gray Mitchum) at the ECU Intercollegiate on Mar. 17.

The 54-hole tournament will open play with 36 holes on Monday followed by 18 holes on Tuesday. The tournament course will play to a par of 72 and measures 7,030 yards. Both days are shotgun starts at 8:45 a.m.

Highlighting the 15-team field are four schools within the top 100 of the latest Clippd rankings: No. 26 Duke, No. 51 UNCW, No. 68 Stetson and No. 96 Xavier.

UNCW has won the tournament on six occasions, including last year's edition staged at the Cape Fear Country Club, and Duke is the only other program in the field to have won the tournament. The Blue Devils won the title in 2016.

Admission to the tournament is free.
