Mitchum's Win Leads to CAA Honors

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW men's golfer Gray Mitchum was named Coastal Athletic Association Co-Golfer of the Week following his second straight individual medalist this month at the Seahawk Intercollegiate.

Mitchum earned Co-Medalist honors with Duke's William Love with a six-under 210 as the Seahawks soared to the team title, nine strokes ahead of the No. 26 Blue Devils.

The Greenville, N.C. native went unbeaten in the month of March after winning the ECU Intercollegiate en route to earning CAA Golfer of the Week on Mar. 18.

Mitchum posted a four-under 68 score in the first round and totaled 13 birdies over the two-day, 54-hole home event at the Country Club of Landfall's Nicklaus Course.

The Seahawks' next play in the Tar Heel Intercollegiate from April 11-12 in Chapel Hill.
