WILMINGTON, North Carolina – April Bass has returned to her alma mater and the Seahawk Club as Assistant Director of Athletic Development.
Bass will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Seahawk Club and oversee all gift processing as well as assume reporting responsibilities. She will also serve as a front line fundraiser for the organization's annual initiatives.
"I'm excited to join the Seahawk Club team again," said Bass. "UNCW is home for me and I'm honored for this opportunity to return and serve UNCW Athletics in my new role."
Bass worked as an intern with the Seahawk Club office during her junior and senior years at UNCW before continuing as a development assistant after graduation. She then spent one year serving as Assistant Director of Development for Western Carolina's Catamount Club, growing the annual fund and assisting with communications, stewardship and event coordination for the development staff.
Bass earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Leadership from UNCW in 2019 and completed her Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from Western Carolina in 2021.
"We're very excited to welcome April back," said Adam Fearing, Executive Director of the Seahawk Club. "I've been fortunate to watch her develop professionally over the past few years and have full confidence that she will make an immediate impact for the Seahawk Club and UNCW's student-athletes."
