Beach Volleyball Preview: at Stevenson

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – UNCW visits Stevenson this weekend for a pair of duals at the Stevenson Beach Volleyball Complex beginning on Saturday. The Seahawks will also play two duals against a club team from Liberty.

The Seahawks carry a 3-9 mark into the weekend and are coming off a 4-1 loss to the College of Charleston in late March at the Seahawk Invitational.

Mya Duggan and Kristy Witte delivered UNCW's lone win of the dual with a 21-17, 24-22 win at the fifth pairing.

Joining the beach program following the completion of the indoor season are Brooke Hanshumaker and Katie Lanz. Both played in all seven duals last season with Hanshumaker posting a 3-4 mark and Lanz going 5-2.

UNCW will play its final tune up for the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association tournament, which will be played later this month, next weekend at the Palmetto Invitational hosted by nationally-ranked South Carolina on Apr. 16-17.
