RICHMOND, Virginia – UNCW redshirt junior forward Morgan Nanni has earned the Colonial Athletic Association's Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award after leading the Seahawks to a 3-1 victory at Elon.
 
Nanni, a native of Raleigh, N.C., posted her third career brace as the Seahawks opened league play with the two-goal win. She opened the scoring in the 17th minute by converting a pass from freshman Madison Henry before adding a penalty kick goal less than two minutes into the second half.
 
A starter in four games for Coach Chris Neal, Nanni is tied for the team lead with three goals and ranks second on the team with six points. Two of Nanni's three goals have come from the penalty kick spot.
 
Nanni and the Seahawks, who are 3-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in the CAA, welcome the College of Charleston to the UNCW Soccer Stadium on Saturday, Mar. 20, for a 6 p.m. league contest.
