Klausen Takes Seventh At NC State Invitational

GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCW junior Courtney Klausen finished seventh in the 1-meter board and Tatum Church was third in the consolation final to lead the Seahawks at the NC State Invitational on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.

Klausen advanced to the finals of the 1-meter by scoring 250.15 points and finishing sixth in the morning preliminaries. Church placed ninth in the prelims, narrowly missing giving UNCW in the finals. She scored 244.80 points.

Lauren Mehta, a freshman, posted 200.5 points in the prelims to finish 21st, but wasn't able to advance.

On the men's 3-meter, Ethan Graff finished 14th with 215 points and Caleb Brantley was 15th, finishing with 196.15 points.

The diving events continue on Friday with the women competing in the 3-meter and the men moving to the 1-meter.
