Chloe Byrd finished 4-5 in the Women's 3,000 Meters to highlight UNCW's finishes on the final day of the VMI Winter Relays on Saturday.

The Seahawks women's track & field team made its third appearance of the indoor season at the VMI Corps Physical Training Facility.

Owens clocked a 10:34.52 time to finish fourth in the Women's 3,000 Meters and Byrd was close behind at 10:47.67.

Destiny Smith, junior
Makiya Spencer and freshman
Gail White each collected seventh place finishes. Smith raced to seventh in the Women's 60 Meter Hurdles in 9.39, Spencer placed seventh in the Women's 400 Meters in 1:00.83 and White took seventh in the Women's Long Jump with a leap of 16-06.75.

The Seahawks next travel to Daytona Beach, Fla., for the Embry-Riddle First Chance Meet on Saturday, Feb 22.
