Jersey Auction Dates Announced

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Seahawks have announced the dates for the annual jersey auctions which will help raise funds and awareness for several special interest groups.

"Each year it's an honor and privilege for our program to wear these special jerseys and do our part in raising funds to help these organizations that mean a lot to us," said first-year head coach Randy Hood. "To honor our military and veterans who have served, to support our local Miracle League chapter, and to continue to fight cancer and find a cure … we always enjoy these opportunities to help."

March 15, against East Tennessee State, will be Military Appreciation Day with proceeds from the jersey auction going to Step Up for Soldiers.

The second game of the series will be April 5 against Hofstra. That afternoon the jerseys will be auctioned off to help support the Miracle League of Wilmington.

Rounding out the series will the annual Cancer Awareness game on May 3 against the College of Charleston. Proceeds from that day's sales will benefit What's Not, What's Normal.

Season tickets go on sale on January 22 at 9 a.m. and single-game tickets will be available on February 3 for purchase.

UNCW opens the season on Feb. 14 against Dayton in the Seahawk Classic.
