GREENVILLE, N.C. -- The Seahawks open a five-game week on Tuesday with a 6:30 p.m. start against 11th-ranked East Carolina at Clark-LeClair Stadium. UNCW returns to Brooks Field on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. start with Campbell.
The Seahawks (20-21) and #11 East Carolina (29-10) take the field on Tuesday as the two make up postponed game from earlier this season. The Pirates beat UNCW earlier this month, 9-1, at Brooks Field.
While UNCW was swept on the road at Hofstra, for the first time in program history, the Pirates were taking care of business with an American Athletic Conference sweep of nationally-ranked UConn.
Against Hofstra in the finale, Greg Jones collected a career-high four hits and missed hitting for the cycle by the home run. Jones had homered in his final at bat on Saturday.
Reliever Blake Morgan continued his stellar senior season, limiting the Pride to one hit and a walk over a career-long 5.1 shutout innings. Over his last seven appearances, covering 13 innings, Morgan has allowed two hits, walked three and fanned 13.
Senior Justin Walke will make his second start of the season for the Seahawks.
