Marshburn Nabs CAA Pitching Honors For Second Time

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW junior Connor Marshburn went seven shutout innings, allowing one hit, at Elon and was named Pitcher of the Week by the Coastal Athletic Association on Monday.

Marshburn (4-3) did not allow a base runner past second base while matching his career-long with seven innings and eight strikeouts. The win helped the Seahawks win all six games against Elon this season.

On the season, Marshburn ranks in the conference top-10 in earned run average (4.03) and opponent batting average (.233).

The righthander previously earned the same honor on Mar. 23.

The Seahawks host rival College of Charleston this weekend, with the first game on Friday at 6 p.m.
