UNCW Loses 14-7

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's Noah Bridges homered and drove in five runs but NC State halted a losing skid with a 14-7 win over the Seahawks on Tuesday at Brooks Field.

The Wolfpack snapped a five-game losing streak to improve to 30-8 and 12-1 on the road his season. The Seahawks fell to 20-18.

Bridges tied his career-high with five RBI's, four coming across on a grand slam in the sixth inning.

UNCW starter Gage Herring (0-5) didn't make it out of the first inning after surrendering three runs on four walks and a pair of hits.

The Wolfpack drew 10 walks on the night and belted three home runs. Will Wilson, Evan Edwards and Brad Debo all went deep.

Cameron Cotter (3-2) earned the win in a predetermined start of two innings.

UNCW plays Hofstra in a three-game Colonial Athletic Association series beginning on Friday at 3 p.m. in Hempstead, N.Y.
