Beach Volleyball Edged 3-2 By TCU

UNCW goes 0-2 at CCSA Tournament on Friday

EMERSON, Ga. – UNCW came up short in a 3-2 loss to #17 TCU to complete pool play with two losses on Friday at the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association championships at LakePoint. The Seahawks were swept by #4 LSU earlier in the day.

The Tigers (26-5) rolled to a 5-0 win in pool play over the Seahawks (8-14). In the second pairing, Jaime Thomas and Halle Hunt fell 21-17, 21-16 and Brynn Montgomery and Raquel Rooney lost 21-18, 21-17 in the fourth position.

Vs. #17 TCU
The Seahawks earned wins at the first and four positions, but the Horned Frogs were able to sneak past UNCW and avenge a loss earlier in the season. Maddy Kline and Katie McCullough earned a 25-23, 21-17 win at the ones and Montgomery and Rooney picked up a 22-20, 21-14 victory in the fourth spot.

The Seahawks close out their season on Saturday with a 10:30 a.m. dual against FAU.
