WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW hosts the Dig & Dive Beach Classic this weekend in its lone home appearance of the season.
Joining the Seahawks are the College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, Morehead State, Florida Gulf Coast, Carson-Newman and Tusculum.
The round robin tournament begins on Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Admission is free.
This tournament will also serve as Senior Day for the program as
Maddy Kline,
Halle Hunt,
Katie McCullough and
Anna Grauel make their final home appearances. These four Seahawks were founding members of the program when it first took the court in 2016.
The Seahawks went 3-1 last weekend at the Islanders Beach Classic, hosted by Texas A&M Corpus Christi. After splitting the first two duals, the Seahawks swept their two duals on Saturday, including a 3-2 win over nationally-ranked TCU.
UNCW owns a 4-5 mark entering this weekend and have already played both Charleston and Coastal Carolina this season, falling to both.
UNCW returns to the road next weekend, Mar. 29-30, for the Georgia State Diggin' Duals in Atlanta.
