Box Scores: Fla. State | South Carolina

"We knew this weekend competition would be tough and Florida State didn't make any mistakes for us to capitalize on," said UNCW Head Coach Amy Bambenek. "Against South Carolina, Emily (Corrigan) and Maddy (Kline) were able to take care of business and it was great to see us push them in the first and fifth positions before coming up short."
In the nightcap, the Seahawks fell to South Carolina, 4-1, with Emily Corrigan and Maddy Kline earned the lone win in the second position. The Seahawks pushed the Gamecocks to three sets at the number one and five spots in the lineup.

The Seahawks dropped their first dual of the day, 5-0, to defending CCSA champion and fourth-ranked Florida State. The Seminoles won each match in straight sets with UNCW's top pairing of Nicole Lott and Tanna Aljoe falling to Leigh Andrews and Brooke Kuhlman, 21-17, 21-16.

The Seahawks close out pool play on Saturday with 10:30 a.m. start against Tulane and then a 3 p.m. first-serve against FIU.
