Beach Volleyball Preview: CofC Beach Classic

 
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Beach Volleyball program opens its appearance at the CofC Beach Classic on Friday when it plays Mercer and Lincoln Memorial.

The Seahawks carry a four-dual winning streak into this weekend's tournament where they'll also face nationally-ranked Tulane and host College of Charleston.

Last weekend UNCW swept a doubleheader from Coastal Carolina by identical scores of 4-1.

The pairs of Emily Corrigan/Katie McCullough and Sydney Alvis/Sarah Kelly have both won four straight matches. Alvis and Kelly lead the lineup with a 7-1 record while Corrigan & McCullough are 6-2.

Following this weekend in Charleston, UNCW returns to Dig & Dive when it hosts the second of two home events this season. The UNCW Beach Blast will kick off on April 1, and include Mercer, CofC, Stevenson and South Carolina.
