Beach Volleyball Preview: Coastal Carolina

 
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW plays the first of two home events this Saturday when it hosts Coastal Carolina in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Dig & Dive.

The Seahawks have gotten out to a quick start with four wins in their first six outings. Including a win over nationally-ranked North Florida at the UNF Sand Classic. UNCW received votes in the AVCA Coaches Poll following their impressive start.

Coastal Carolina opened its season earlier this week with a 4-1 loss to 10th-ranked South Carolina. The Chants earned their lone point in the number one dual as Natasa Savovic and Tahlea Bishop edged the Gamecocks, 21-16 and 21-18.

Leading the Seahawks with five wins is the tandem of Sarah Kelly and Sydney Alvis. Two other pairs have four wins apiece, including Tanna Aljoe/Nicole Lott and Emily Corrigan/Katie McCullough.

The Seahawks visit Charleston, S.C., on Mar. 24-25 for the CofC Beach Classic.
