Aquahawks Rally In Final Two Events To Clip Bulldogs

ASHEVILLE, North Carolina – UNCW won the final two events outscoring UNCA, 26-10, to rally for a 138-123 win over the Bulldogs in women's swimming action on Saturday at the Justice Center Pool.

Results

The Seahawks improved to 3-1 with their third straight win while the Bulldogs dropped to 0-2.

Junior Kyra Schemmel ignited the rally winning the 400 IM, her third event victory of the meet, while junior Meagan Johnson took third and Hannah Albanese was fifth to give UNCW a 125-119 lead.

In the final 200 Free Relay, the team of freshman Faith Pilcher and juniors Annie Shirkm Caitlin Cockcroft and Meghan Lahr took first with a time of 1:38.29 to seal the win.

UNCW returns to action on Oct. 28 when both programs head to Greenville for a 1 p.m. start against East Carolina at Minges Natatorium.
