UNCW Freshman Arsenault Named CAA Swimmer-of-the-Week

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Seahawk newcomer Evan Arsenault made an immediate impact last weekend against Tennessee as the freshman won both the 50 and 100 Freestyle and was named Swimmer-of-the-Week by the Colonial Athletic Association on Wednesday.

Arsenault, who hails from Marietta, Ga., won the 50 Free in her debut with a time of 23.78 second and later clocked in at 52.22 in winning the 100 Free sprint. She also swam the leadoff legs of the 200 Medley and 400 Free Relays.

The Seahawks came up short in losing to the Lady Vols in the season opener for both teams.

UNCW hosts Old Dominion on Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. when it returns to action next.
