Beach Volleyball Heads Back To Florida

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – It's back to the road for the UNCW Beach Volleyball program this weekend when they compete at the Fiesta in Siesta Key tournament in Siesta Key, Fla.

Tournament Information

The Seahawks open their tournament appearance on Saturday with matches against nationally-ranked Florid Atlantic and Louisiana Monroe before facing third-ranked Florida State and TCU on Sunday. UNCW dropped a 3-2 decision to ULM earlier this season at the Georgia State Diggin' Duals.

Last weekend, UNCW held its lone home event of its inaugural season and finished 2-0 with wins over Coastal Carolina and Stevenson. The Seahawks also captured two of the three pairs tournament brackets.

The pairs of Nicole Lott/Kristen Powell and Ashleigh Crutcher/Maddy Kline continue to pace the team with seven wins apiece. The pairing of Bella Borgiotti and Katie McCullough went 3-0 last weekend and has won its last five matches. Individually, Halle Hunt, Maddy Kline and Sarah Kelly have posted a team-best eight wins, each.

UNCW's regular season concludes the following weekend at the Palmetto Invitational, hosted by South Carolina.
