Seahawks, Camels Resume Series Tonight

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Diamond Hawks retake the field tonight as they look to extend their eight-game winning streak when they host Campbell in a 6 p.m. start at Brooks Field.

The Seahawks and Camels met earlier this season in Buies Creek with UNCW breaking away late for an 11-4 win. The win was also UNCW's 11th consecutive win at Jim Perry Stadium.

UNCW is coming off a weekend sweep of visiting East Tennessee as both teams took off from conference action. The Seahawks plated 48 runs in the sweep and rallied with nine eighth-inning runs on Sunday for a 16-11 win. It was the second nine-run frame for UNCW on the weekend.

The Camels earned a series win over Big South Conference foe Liberty with a pair of 2-1 wins in the first two games against the Flames.

Prior to tonight's game, the UNCW volleyball program will be honored and presented the Colonial Athletic Association championship rings. That ceremony will begin at 5:45 p.m.
