Watch/Listen | Live Stats | Game Notes: ETSU // UNCW | Tickets
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Diamond Hawks return to action and to Brooks Field this evening when they open a three-game non-conference series with East Tennessee State at 6 p.m.

UNCW (20-9) completed what turned into an eight-game road stretch Wednesday with a 5-1 win at High Point in the first of a home-and-home series with the Panthers. After dropping their first seven road games of the season, the Seahawks rallied to win their last five and carry a five-game winning streak into this weekend.

Wednesday night UNCW rode a four-run third inning to the 5-1 win as Nick Feight and Casey Golden homered back-to-back to highlight the inning. Justin Crump earned the win, going a career-best five innings and allowing no runs on one hit. He also tied his career high with four strikeouts.

Feight enters the weekend ranked in the top-10 nationally in RBI's per game (1.66), total RBI's (48), slugging percentage (782.) and home runs (11). At the top of the order, Steven Linkous, the CAA Co-Player-of-the-Week, ranks in the top 10 in runs per game (1.28) and stolen bases per game (0.62).

ETSU (15-17) dropped a 14-inning heart-breaker when UNC Asheville plated the winning runs on a home run for a 7-5 win. The Buccaneers opened a season-long nine-game road stretch with that loss. ETSU owns a 3-4 mark on the road this season.
