Binkauskas, Gargula Pace UNCW In Split

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Seniors Danielle Binkauskas and Catherine Gargula won two events apiece as UNCW beat Mount St. Mary's, but fell to host Campbell in the regular season swimming and diving finale on Saturday.

The Seahawks swam past the Mountaineers, 210-51, and dropped a 160-101 decision to the Camels.

Binkauskas picked up wins in the 500 and 1,000 yard Freestyle with times of 5:12.09 and 10:28.96, respectively.

Gargula, meanwhile, won both the 100 and 200 Backstrokes for the second straight meet. She clocked in with times of 58.67 in the 100 and 2:06.71 in the 200.

Rounding out UNCW's event winners on Saturday was freshman Kyra Schemmel, who won the 400 IM with a time of 4:33.33.

Next up for the Seahawks are the Colonial Athletic Association Diving Championships on Feb. 20-21 in Newark, Del. The CAA Championships will follow in Richmond, Va., on Feb. 24-27.
