Women's Swimming Closes Out Dual Meet Season At Campbell


WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW closes out its dual meet season on Saturday when the women's team visits Campbell for a noon start at the Johnson Aquatic Center. The Seahawks will also compete against Mount St. Mary's to round out the tri-meet.

Last weekend, the Seahawks closed out their home schedule with a loss to Davidson. Senior Catherine Gargula led the Seahawks with an impressive afternoon, winning three individual events. Gargula won both the 100 and 200 Backstrokes and later captured first in the 100 Butterfly. Fellow senior Christine Souther added wins in the 200 Breaststroke and 200 IM.

Campbell fell to Liberty in its last outing and will be looking to get back into the win column.

UNCW leads the all-time series, 8-1, after winning at the Seahawk Natatorium last season.
