WILMINGTON, N.C. - UNC Wilmington sophomore catcher Cody Stanley was named to Baseball America's Top Prospects list for the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Stanley, who played for the North Adams SteepleCats, hit .352 while seeing action in 30 games, including 27 starts. The Clinton, N.C., native led the North Adams lineup with five home runs and was tied for second with 24 runs batted in. He also paced the team with a .602 slugging percentage, adding eight doubles and a pair of triple to his five round trippers.
While displaying power, Stanley also showcased more of his skills as he swiped nine bases in 11 attempts and committed just one error in 134 total chances in the field.
Stanley also participated in the league's Home Run Derby at the NECBL All-Star game.
