Diamond Hawks' Raynor Named All-America

SEAHAWKS' RAYNOR NAMED ALL-AMERICA

WILMINGTON, N.C. –
UNC Wilmington senior outfielder John Raynor was named Second-Team Louisville Slugger All-America by Collegiate Baseball Magazine on Friday. Raynor, a first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection, helped lead the Seahawks to their third regional appearance and fourth straight 40-win season.

Raynor, who was a preseason All-America selection by the same publication, enters this weekend's Chapel Hill Regional with a team-leading .378 batting average and career-highs in home runs (11) and runs batted in (64). The Benson, N.C., native also set a school record with 41 stolen bases this spring and ranks ninth nationally, averaging 0.68 stolen bases per game.

With his selection, Raynor becomes UNCW's first Louisville Slugger All-America honoree.
