SEAHAWK BASEBALL ANNOUNCES 50TH ANNIVERSARY ALL-DECADE SQUADS

All-Decade Teams

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNC Wilmington baseball program has compiled All-Decade teams to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Seahawk Baseball.

From the team's inception as a junior college and through the days as a member of the NAIA and NCAA Division I, the Seahawks have enjoyed success at every level.

“This is an exciting time for the program,” said Head Coach Mark Scalf, who is in his 15th season as head coach and his 26th overall at UNCW. “We've spent time developing a program and I've been fortunate to have spent time as a player, assistant coach and now a head coach. There are a number of outstanding players, who are also quality people and extremely successful within their professions now. It's encouraging that so many of these players have continued to follow and be a part o the program over the years,”

Seven of those voted to the teams are members of UNCW's Hall-of-Fame and 33 played professionally following their days as a Seahawk.
